Can you tell that it's almsot winter? The girls have been very busy with craft making every day. Here's a cute picture with a little help on drawing from Dad.
In art class, Julia was asked to draw a picture of her playing with her favorite toy. Here she is playing with her Webkinz pig (who is flying in the sky for some reason)!
well, you might think this was max's (1) first attempt at painting but it is indeed ellie's (4) picture. guess she was just having fun with the paints. honestly, this is how i see a lot of the pictures hanging in fancy museums. they should just let 4-year olds hang a few to see who notices. :)
another ellie (4) drawing...appears to be our loving (see all the hearts!!) family with some daddy long legs. except...i see one extra person. does she know something we do not? what is mama wearing???
Ellie drew and colored this picture today. What a happy picture! She's getting better with her drawings (although her people still don't have bodies) and using color in the right places now. It's fun to see that take shape in a child.
We found this cute drawing in our mailbox the other day. Katie drew this picture for Julia and Ellie. Three friends! It's great to have neighbors with young children.
Julia: "I made it with pink and green and I love it so much. Mama...can you put this in a picture frame for me?" Julia did some painting today but most of it was on very large paper which I can't scan. Pity! She soooo enjoys art.
The girls had their weekly games & crafts session at the county park here (a summer program). They enjoyed playing duck, duck goose and making these fine fish!
Ellie: "I like my fishy."
Julia: "My fishy is so special because I can play with it and make a puppet show."
Mama took us to the new Michael's craft store today and boy did we LOVE that place. We wanted EVERYTHING!! She let us pick up some fun, new crafts that were on the clearance racks...this being one of them. We painted these lovely "garden critters". Papa even painted the middle one for us! Mama says anything to keep us busy...
This weekend, Sarah "mom" enjoyed breakfast in bed, a bit of sleeping in, a homemade bracelet from the local bead boutique, and these fine cards from Julia and Ellie. What more could a mom ask for? :)
Can you make this out? You may need to click for a better view. It's a "love note" from Julia's little boyfriend, Ryan. They constantly exchange pictures and notes after church over giggles. Who knew it started this young!
Julia asked us to submit a homemade Birthday card to the Sproutlets Birthday show on TV. Hopefully they'll choose hers and show it on TV on June 24, her big day. Yes, we planned ahead two months in advance which is what is required. Stay tuned!!
This picture may be a bit hard to make out but I think it's pretty cute. Ellie drew this on the back of her "Eight Starfish" handout she did at pre-school today. The people on top are Sarah, Julia, and Ellie (holding hands). All of the other things are 8s in various sizes. :)
"I love you ducky picture. Ummm...hmmm...what else? That's all I want to say...put it on the website mom." [Julia brought this craft to me and wanted me to add it here...she's really getting into this]
I found this picture on the craft table today...one of Ellie's creations. I think it's funny that a lot of her people (see yellow man here) are neither smiling nor frowning...they're just content I guess.
